Valentine's Day

When you can love on them all!

Valentine’s Day shouldn’t be the only day that you love your loved ones. You should always show your love the people you love most. Valentine’s Day isn’t about the chocolates and flowers, it’s about loving people.

“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonour others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.” – 1 Corinthians 13:4-8

We were put on this earth to love one another, so why do we need a day to remind us to love. We should always find a way to show someone you love them, even if it is just a simple hug.

“So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love.” – 1 Corinthians 13:13

Imagine a world without love, you would never be happy. Hate would fill everyone’s heart. Love binds everything together, without love, the world would be a very sad place.

“And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony.” – Colossians 3:14

Love stops people from doing horrible things, stops you from regretting and sinning.

“Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins.” – 1 Peter 4:8

Give love to your family and friends. Family, whether the family you are born into or the family you choose, are those that are there for you in the hardest of times. Friends are always there to make you laugh, smile and live.

“Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.” – John 15:13

And lastly, “Love your neighbour as yourself.” – Mark 12:31

I don’t know what I would do if I didn’t have love through lockdown. We are so lucky to have the capability of loving. Going through lockdown and remote learning was really hard, but I made it through because I knew that the people around me loved me, and that I would go back into the world knowing that people would love. No matter how hard it got, we made it through because of love. I am so thankful that I have love around me, and I try my hardest to always give love to everyone around. Of course you can do something loving for you family, friends, and special person on Valentine ’s Day. But remember that you have every day to show love.

“You found love, You’ve got love.” – Hwasa (song: Orbit)

You don’t have to spend hundreds of dollars to express your love. There are so many free things you could do every day to show someone you love them, like simply saying “I love you every day, not just on Valentine’s day”.

“Let’s love now, My love my love, You’re my dream” – Suho (song: Let’s Love)

A simple “I love you” can go so far.
